im not really sure how my statements are biased. im just stating that its not cheap at all to rebuild a motor or transmission. and chances are since the car was rolled over and im not exactly sure how one would manage to roll over a neon srt4, that the car was probably ran hard. you assume the engine is in running shape. how do you know the flipover didnt knock something loose inside the engine that will fly around the first time its started and cause the motor to spin a bearing? my dad is having headaches with a very old car with a carburator and he tried to just redo one cylinder of the 4 cyl engine and that cost him almost $800 and the motor still doesnt run well and now hes stuck having to rebuild the whole thing if he wants it to run right. if you wanted to do it its your choice and i wouldnt stop you. im just saying be ready for a maintenance headache and to be ready to sink $$$ into it.

that is the point. Mostimes when dealing with a car you dont know what the issues will be and it should not be taken on by everyone. There have been perfect looking cars sold on forums that cost way more to fix. So unless you know what your doing you should not take on a task like this.

Again these are all opinion and we should be careful how we express them. And if you have never done it then maybe on some matter we should keep our oppions to ourself as not to steer someone else and shake there confidence on starting a project cause we dont have the whole information or story,

Another note there are alot of roll overs out this in salvage yards. And support and crash bars missing from these cars . a CAR WITH CRASH BARS REMOVED FOR A BIGGER INTERCOOLER WILL SEE FAR WORSE DAMAGE BUT IN A SERIOUS FRONT END COLLISION. cAN DAMAGE HAPPEND DURRING A ROLLOVER YES BUT THAT HAS TO BE evaluated when looking and pricing the project..

just understand not every opion needs to be shared...

Sorry if i rambled it 3am here in vegas and my vacation os going gooooooood :puke:

Paul

well i was simply pointing out that there will be alot of issues to be dealt with. and trust me with a rollover there WILL be issues. #1 issue is that when a car is rolled over youve bent the frame of the car and once that happens the only title youll get for the car is a salvage title, which means good luck trying to get financing from a bank for it! and considering i know that a GOOD paint job for a car is at least $1000 and you dont even know if the engine runs or not, you might as well figure on a rebuld eventually anyway.
